给宝宝申请护照

• Fill out DS11 form, print out in black and white. Form在网上下载，可以在网上填了再打印，注意黑白打印。
• One recent passport photo: 这个可以预约的时候选择在USPS照照片（多交$15），或者自己照。非常时期，我们自己在家给宝宝照的，希望能符合标准。以下是对于护照照片的要求：
  • Color photo, taken in last 6 months
  • Clear image of face. No filters.
  • No selfies.
  • No eyeglasses
  • Plain white or off-white background，这个可以利用白床单，白色小桌等放到宝宝背后。
  • High resolution
  • 2x2inches
  • Head must be between 1-1 3/8 inches (25-35mm) from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head
  • Printed on matte or glossy quality paper
  • 如果照片符合要求的话宝宝就不用再在USPS照啦，避免不必要的暴露。
• Correct passport fees：
  • Payable to “U.S. Department of State”: $80，这个personal check, cashier’s check, traveler’s check都可以
  • Payable to your acceptance facility: $35，这个可以在USPS用信用卡付
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship：
  • Birth certificate original copy：这个会先收上去，等批准了再还给你
  • Birth certificate photocopy, black and white：注意是黑白的，我猜是方便审查的人员把原件和复印件分开来，再把原件退还给你
• Proof of Relationship：
  • Birth certificate with BOTH parents’ names.
  • Parents must provide a photo ID at the time of application.
  • Photocopy of both parents’ ID, front and back.
• 胶棒不用带，因为照片检查无误后，在USPS是用订书机订上四个角上交的，订书机USPS也有。
• 最后他们会让你举起右手宣个誓，大意就是我说的还有我呈现的东西都是真的。然后再在DS11表格上面签名。签名之前USPS的前台人员还用消毒纸巾给擦了擦笔。
• 我打电话提前跟USPS预约的时候他们说是网上预约，但是其实去了也并没有问预约的事…当然也有可能是非常时期他们也不是那么严格了。
